I am here for Friends

About Me

Born in London, raised in Preston, now living in Cheltenham. No wonder I'm confused most of the time. Thank god I've got music to keep me alive. And the kids to keep me awake. Never thought I'd spend my life down south - I always thought I'd be back in Manchester by now but I guess it wouldn't be the same as I remembered anyway. It was my friends that I appreciated as much as the university. Still it's cool to go back once in a while.

My Interests

Playing badminton and 5-a-side football, collecting Comics and CDs, reading (books and comics), Guardian Crossword, Sudoku/Kakuro and most of the new Japanese puzzles, Arsenal and Preston North End FC, Lancashire CCC, Gloucester RFC, Baltimore Orioles. Cycling.

I'd like to meet:

Frankie Boyle - can't believe he says what he does and gets away with it. What a funny guy.Emmanuel Petit - the coolest footballer ever. He wasn't the best at anything in particular but he made the best of himself and played at the very top. Still wear #17 on my football shirts in his honour.Warren Ellis - writer of some of the darkest but funniest comics around. Same goes for Brian Michael Bendis.Alan Moore - not just to pay homage to his work on Watchman and V for Vigilante but to beg him to get back together with Dave Gibson and finish the Ballad of Halo Jones! I've always said that if I ever won the lottery, I'd underwrite the book like a shot.

Music:

Pixies, Comsat Angels, Stars of Heaven, Alkaline Trio, Blink 182, The Killers, Biffy Clyro, The Crimea, Coldplay, The Smiths/Morrissey, Maximo Park, Good Charlotte, Sum 41, New Found Glory and thousands more. Blame Peelie for getting me hooked.
