Lately I've been somewhat of a homebody, I've been watching way too much TV while knitting. The knitting is good, but I've got to work on the TV thing...Also I like to read and hang out with friends as much as possible. I love being in the great outdoors and will go fishing and camping with anyone who would invite me! I am most at home on the water so any activity that involves water is OK by me, fishing, snorkeling, diving, swimming, just floating on a boat.....
Tis the season to answer Santa Claus!!!
I'm not much of a music guru, I'm usually happy listening to just about anything that's playing with the exception of hardcore rap or easy listening or a lot of jazz. Currently in my CD player (that's right, I didn't say ipod, cause I don't have one) is , Dave Matthews Band, Bare Naked Ladies, Michael Buble, Be Good Tanyas, and David Francey. I like everything from country to rock to oldies to pop, but I've kind of been enjoying a lot of folk & bluegrass lately.
I have to admit, I haven't seen many new movies lately, but I'll pay to see just about any new animated feature coming out, I'm a sucker for those! Some of my all time faves include, but are not limited to: The Usual Suspects, A Fish Called Wanda, Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail, The Dark Crystal, The Truth About Cats and Dogs, Clueless, Better Off Dead, or any of the Lord of the Rings, pretty much any movie with Kevin Spacey or John Cusack.
I am the first to admit that I watch way to much TV. Somehow I just can't stop watching Project Runway, lately I also can't turn off Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, Studio 60, and Ugly Betty, and I will stop anything to watch Friends, Family Guy or Simpsons! I used to be addicted to the Colbert Report and the Daily Show, but I haven't seen much of either of those lately. I know, like I said, I watch way too much TV.
I love reading and will read just about anything recommended to me by a friend, except I have had a really hard time getting into any kind of history or autobiography/biography. I've read all of the Harry Potter books several times (I know that's sad, but I can't help myself) and one of my all time favorite authors is Jane Austen, especially Pride & Prejudice. I also LOVE The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy by Douglas Adams(which really has 5 books I think), if you haven't read it yet, READ IT, NOW!! It's one of the only books that has ever made me laugh out loud.
I know it's cliche, but I have to say my Dad, he has taught me a lot of the most worthwile things that I know.
