Born 1984,Discovered he’s fathers white bass guitar when he was four years old. His father was hes first teacher. Little bit later he discovered bands called Black Sabbath, Clawfinger and artists Laurie Anderson and Brian Eno. Rotsup was eleven when he went to children’s music school to study classical guitar. After some years he started to play electric guitar also. He played in bands like: Blood Rain, Zero Mantic and Loom.
At the end of high school, while he still played in bands, he got interested in computer music and studied Sonic Foundry Acid Pro. On that time he made his first computer music pieces. After highschool he went to music school called Georg Ots for one year to study jazz music. After that he went to Estonian Academy of Music to study electronic music.
In 2004 he composed he’s first film music for short film called “Grau†and won European film music award Soundtrack Cologne 1.0 in the category of young film composers.
In the same period he studied Indian classical instrument sitar in the guidance of Peeter Salmela and Tara Bir Singh Tuladhar from Nepal. He liked sitar music so much that he composed song called “Army of Raga†(original song written by Björk - “Army of me"). In 2005 he went to Italy to study there for one year. Culture shock was so big that after that he didn’t make any music.
In the beginning of winter 2007 he started to play in band named "Krõpsuga Ketsid" (WWW.MYSPACE.COM/KETSID) and formed he’s own band named "Rotsup: the bänd" (WWW.MYSPACE.COM/ROTSUPTHEBAND). He also started to make computer music again ("She is my fault" and recorded song called "You Will Come When I Will Come") also did some acoustic (WWW.MYSPACE.COM/ROTSUPACOUSTIC) and electric guitar sketches and songs.
In the future Rotsup is planning to continue!
