Paul has been DJ-ing for almost 20 years and loves to take you on an inspirational journey. His style is progressive house blended with classic tracks drawn from his many DJ sets along the years – including guest slots on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 Essential Selection, the house music industry’s definitive trend setting broadcast. He has also played in many of the UK’s hottest nightspots throughout the 1990s alongside dance floor legends such as Sasha.Paul Alexander was born in England but has now made his home in Barcelona, Spain. He first arrived there in 2003 and fell completely in love with the City, the way of life and the people. So much so, he has now established a studio in the heart of the city with Gabi Newman (Vendetta Records & Release Yourself) and has been crafting some new productions set for release at the end of 2009. One of those tracks has already won the support from leading DJ, Danny Rampling.His DJ sets manages to combine a fresh input with a blend of modern music which drives the crowd crazy with uplifting vibes and funky breaks
He has also played at some of Barcelona’s finest venues during his time here. Recently, he has played at The Lika Lounge, had a Friday night residency at the Sugar Club and also in Chikamala & Shoko. He has also played at Mondo with long time friend, who is also based in Barcelona, DJ Angel (Venus in Motion).During his time in the UK house scene since 1994 – when his first night with Sasha that changed his life forever - Paul played on 4 Essential mix nights with Pete Tong and Radio 1. He also did live mixes on NRG radio in Bournemouth UK. Before moving to Barcelona Paul lived in London for 6 years playing at various clubs such as The Cross for Serious with another Radio 1 trend setting DJ, Judge Jules. He was also a regular at and other clubs across the UK including the Zap Club in Brighton and Number 10 in Guernsey, The Network in Belfast and The Warehouse in Plymouth.
Paul’s biggest night was his residency at the Warehouse in Plymouth.Paul was the main resident of Scream, which attracted over 2500 expectant Young clubbers every week. Paul’s work was also to help manage the strategy, marketing and promotion for the night, where he was responsible for also booking the DJs as well as playing with them .
Paul was also know for his outlandish introductions to the superstar DJs who would guest there… including an unforgettable moment at Paul Oakenfold’s Birthday Celebrations at Scream, where the whole crowd ended up singing the chorus of Happy Birthday to him.After warming-up for a the first few years at Scream, Paul then took the lead playing the main set and completely created his own explosive effect on the 2500 strong crowd becoming one of the most popular DJ’s at the Warehouse.
