I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

.. MySpace Profile Editor
First and foremost, I'm a Christian. I love God and do my best to strive after Him every day.
Secondly, I am the proud fiancee of my high school sweetheart, Brittany. We have been together for over 6 years, and I finally gathered my blackened guts and proposed. So yay! Huzzah for that and hooray for love. ^_^
Also, for about two years I was the vocalist for local Christian metal band Seized of Darkness. After a great run the band was laid to rest, but I'll always appreciate what we accomplished with our given time.
I have several hobbies, but the one I do the most by far is writing poetry. I love to write, and have been doing it for about 8 years now. I just enjoy it more and more as time goes on. You can check out my poetry here. Along with mention of my poetry, I'd like to add that I am trying very hard to get published. Writing is fine, but I would like to move on to the next step and start publishing. So, anyone who is associated with publishers, if you like my work, pass on the word!
As for my interests, I looooove anime and manga, oh! and video games! Some of my favorites can be found on the left side of your screen. In the vein of japanese culture, I'm also going to Kumoricon in September, which brings up another great interest of mine, which is Cosplay. Don't know what cosplay is? Well, do some research, son. Let me just say, if you enjoy it....it will consume you.
Hmmm, what else.....oh yeah, I'm going to Portland State University at the moment, and I'm getting a BA in English/Writing. I would love to get a career in poetry, but I know it won't provide financially, so I also am considering journalism or teaching younglings. (Yes, me and little kids.....I can see the horror on your faces....)
So, yeah, that'd be me.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

My "Friend" Policy:
I enjoy meeting people, and am not exclusive about who I befriend. So feel free to add me as a friend, however, do not take it as an offense if I do not add you right back immediately. And please, I implore you, send me a message before you you add me as a friend, so I know who you are and why you are adding me. I consider my friends as people I can actually hold conversations with and whom know me as more than just a photo and a few words. If we talk and I get to know you, and find you pleasant, then I will surely add you in return.
As for Networking, I really would like to meet fellow poets/authors and crafters of the veritable clay that is literature. Also I would like to meet publishers, so I can get my work out there!
In addition, if you're a local musician/artist/listener of metal, I'd like to meet you too. Always good to expand one's contacts. ..
