THE BELPOP BASTARDS (formerly OLD BASTARDS)

The eighties were without any doubt a pivotal point in Belgian's rock history with highly recommended ROCK by bands such as The Employees, The Wolf Banes, Lavvi Ebel, Won Ton Ton, The Machines, The Scabs, Luna Twist or The Paranoiacs, releasing singles and albums that are now considered classic Euro rock. Dr Kloot Per W called up all his friends from the '80's in 2000 to form a dirty superrockgroup that would make the difference on summerfestival stages by playin' their own greatest hits from the '80's only a little bit harder and a little bit faster and let the guitars rule. Together with long tall Danny Hoedenmakers (dr), virtuoso Bert van Hoeylandt (gtr), wundermeister Pieter Vreede (bass+) and Young Wannes Peremans (Keys), Kloot Per W (vox, gtr), Bea Van Der Maat (vox), Hanske Vanderparanoiacs (vox, gtr), Luckas Vandertaelen (vox,stage) and Wim Punk (vox, acc gtr) are touring the Moist Triangle that is Belgium for the fifth consecutive year. Guy Swinnen, Peter Slabbynck, Alain Tant, Serge Feys, Thomas Van Elslander, Paul De Spiegelaere, Wim Tavernier, Marjan Debaene, Laurens Leurs and Christine van Lavvi Ebel are part time Bastards.
