Da’ P.H.U.K.’s

About Me

History Is PHUKED Year 2001 Da' P.H.U.K.'s are a very inovative band. They feature original songs that seem to be influenced by many different rock bands of the 60's, 70's, 80', 90's and the new millennium. They're theme seems to be quite entertaining also. Do you feel like chicken to night? What the hell is with that? About twenty years ago a fella by the name of David Smith wrote a little didi called " I Feel Like Chicken". He entertained many of house party with an acoustic guitar with this song. 12 years later he bumped into Ryan Davidson. After a few beers the decided to write some songs together. Dave showed Ryan his song "I Feel Like a Chicken", Ryan co-wrote it some and next thing you know chicken theory was born along with Da' P.H.U.K.'s. After a couple years of jamming together Ryan realized that Dave was a crazy S.O.B. who was not capable of doing the band thing in public. So Ryan moved on with the band name. Dave and Ryan are still good friends and Dave still writes great songs for Da' P.H.U.K.'s Year 2005 Ryan is living in Edson AB and runs into a drummer named Sean Downer. Soon after a few basement sessions they moved there jam sessions to a chicken coupe at Seans parents ranch. It seemed ironic that they were jammin in a chicken coupe. Soon after John Horiachka joined forces with Ryan and Sean. This This trio was highly motivated. With in a month of being together the played there first gig at Ernio's Bar in Edson AB on 06/06/06. Two months after being together they recorded there first demo. 123 PHUK in the summer of 2006. A fella by the name of Collin Janson recored and mastered that ep. In the fall time of 2006 they also recorded a live unplugged album called "Da' P.H.U.K.'s Live and Unpulcked" also recorded and mastered by Colin Janson. Collin also helped the boys out with the album "Tails From Da Coupe" in the springtime of 2007. The P.H.U.K.'s road these recordings through many different shows and promotions through 2007. In the summer of 2007 the recorded at Crystal Sound Records at a private party. It was a twenty tracker called "Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road". Year 2008 Da' P.H.U.K.'s decide to spice up there live shows with what they call a Full On Chicken show. This show included rubber chickens over booze bottles, a stage that resembled a chicken coupe, and the legendary PHUK TOY GO GO Dancers. It seemed to be a hit with many venues. Good on em! In Nov 09 John Horiachka who played bass decoided to quit the band. Ryan decided to take over bass and get another guitarist. This is when Jason Turner came in with his blistering guitar and saved Da' P.H.U.K.'s ass. Year 2009 should prove to be a very interesting year for Da' P.H.U.K.'s. If you have a chance to see this power trio rock show you should take it. They are a very entertaining band to say the least.
