I am a senior at the University of Louisville. I also work there. I graduate next December. I write, I paint, I make stupid movies, and I play at being a decent human being when I feel like it. Eventually, I'd like to write for a magazine like Revolver or Decibel, or work for Marvel Comics. Nothing wrong with being ambitious, right?
I like writing pointless, unrelated replies to messages that consist of twisting something said (and maybe not even asked) in the original message into a tangent on a totally unrelated subject. I am easily self-humored.
"The carnage around a great creator is not a pretty sight, and this destructiveness occurs whether the individual is engaged in solitary pursuit or ostensibly working for the benefit of humankind."

All you really need to know about me is this: Life is too short to spend living in another person's world. If you don't like mine, get out.
This video is a group project I did in a video communication course. Using the Derby City Roller Girls as the subject was Reem's idea, and it worked out really well. I am not in the video, but I did a lot of the filming, and I think during the credits, you can hear me. Some of the closer shots at the roller rink place were done by Matt Goto, because those roller derby girls are beasts and I didn't want to be blamed for a broken camera in the event of an accident. The opening shot, where Reem catches a person off guard with a question as soon as they leave a stall in the restroom was totally my idea. Lo and behold, we decided to do that shot in the Ekstrom Library second floor women's restroom and who should come out of the stall but a guy in a bicycle helmet!!! Amazing.
