About Me

Who the heck is this David Hoffman guy and what are ATM Media and Rezidual all about...??
Hi, my name is David Hoffman and I am the head of ATM Media and handle global marketing and distribution for Rezidual .

But that probably doesn’t mean anything to you, yet.

If you are at all like me, you might be involved in a business and want to find better ways to reach people .   I can show you how.   But first, let me tell you a bit about my story…

Coast to Coast

I am from the booming metropolis of Merced, CA.   Yeah, it’s actually a small town in central california, not everyone here lives right on the beach.   After high school, I wanted to get the heck outta dodge, so I headed to the University of Miami in beautiful Florida, which is on the beach.   It felt good to be on my own, blazing a new trail, on the other side of the country.

I did my best to be involved in as many activities as possible like my fraternity, student government, intramural sports, the crazy South Beach scene , ROTC and working as a waiter.   Kinda felt like I was jack of all trades, master of none, but at least I was well-rounded.   I did meet some amazing people along the way, and with all this, I still managed to graduate with an Industrial Engineering degree.   Barely.

Dot-Com to Dot-Bomb

Then I decided to get a job in the “real world ”.   I worked for 6 years in the computer consulting industry, with such companies as Apple, HP, Office Depot, Blockbuster, Prodigy Internet and the Department of Education.   It was back when the dot-coms were skyrocketing and life was good.   I spent time in Miami, San Fran, Amsterdam (yes, on the company dime) and Manhattan.   But as they say, all good things must come to an end...

I lost my father to a “heart attack”, or doctor screw up, and moved from NYC back to San Fran to be closer to the family.   That really rocked my perfect little world and sent a jolt of reality and mortality through me.

I took a look at my life.   It was almost all work.   First one in, last one out, working weekends if the project demanded it, and no one else to blame because I was managing the thing.   It was not as bad for me, because I was single with no kids, but I worked with people 20 years older, with spouses and families, doing the same thing.   I said to myself, there has to be a better way, we only get one shot at life.

I left the consulting industry right before the dot bomb hit.   Whew.   I moved back to Merced to help with the family biz and then got into Real Estate.   Once again, I found myself in an industry that was growing exponentially and most people around me thought there was no end in sight.

Plan B

Fortunately, that’s where my experience came into play and I decided I better have a Plan B for when the market would eventually turn.   Network Marketing (Mulit-Level Markenting) offered me a great way to create an additional income stream, set my own schedule and I was saving thousands and thousands of dollars each year on my taxes by working a home-based business.   Thanks you, tax deductions.

I began to meet people like Bob Proctor, Jim Rohn, Robert Kiyosaki, Loral Langemeier, Rhonda Byrne (“The Secret”) and a bunch of positive, highly energetic, fascinating people.   We actually had Bob come to Merced and speak at an event for us at our local community college.   They taught me that it is possible to live life on your terms and to create whatever you can imagine.

A Bump in the Road

One challenge I kept facing was finding new ways to meet people and wondering how do I get the message across to them that this is a great opportunity, without sounding like I’m selling or forcing something upon them.   Like being a teacher, but the students don’t want to learn or even show up to class.

I tried sending out CDs and tapes, but most people either couldn’t understand or wouldn’t listen.   I tried making calls but people would dodge my calls and even sometimes no-show there own house when I went to pick them up for a meeting.   It was frustrating that my friends I spoke with could not see something right in front of them that was obviously so good for them.   Business grew, but never quite as big as I had hoped.

Dwight

Along my network marketing journey, I met a guy named Dwight.   I must admit, at first, I was not too impressed.   He was young, loud and obnoxious , but had more energy than he knew what to do with.   Long story short, we began working together and have grown to be great friends over the years, but he can still get loud and obnoxious.

He approached me about an idea a couple years ago that he wanted to combine his love for network marketing with the passion he has had all his life for music , especially hip-hop.   He began writing lyrics for songs that had great positive messages about MLM.

After countless hours of writing, recording, editing, producing and performing, he was ready to take it to the masses.   He brought me onboard to guide the marketing and distribution company, ATM Media (Annual To Monthly – what your income can do working the smart way), which works perfectly with my move to Vegas this summer and now on to the next phase…

Rezidual

The alter ego of my buddy Dwight Larks, who is taking the network marketing industry by storm.

Finally, there is a new and effective way to approach people.   No more handing out boring CDs which probably won’t get heard.   Rezidual combines the hypnotic effect of quality hip-hop music with positive lyrics that are helping to change the perception of MLM and attract young, energetic talent to our industry.

I found an exciting way to prospect, recruit, train and lead my MLM team.   I truly believe this will revolutionize our industry in the eyes of the younger generations .   If you are looking to do this in your business, were here to help.   Here’s what’s on the release schedule:

· Prospecting CD – 6 track release to help prospect & recruit, with packaging customizable to Your Company (August ’07, Pre-Mastered Copies available now )

· Training CD – 6 track release to train and support your team (October ’07)
