he grew up in chemnitz, saxonia/east germany.
since the age of 7 he started to write his own music.
after finishing the high scool he studied composition and piano at the conservatoire "felix mendelssohn bartholdy" in leipzig/germany and changed later to the conservatoire "hanns eisler" in berlin/germany.
he finished this education among others as a "diplom-komponist".
since 1990 he lives in berlin.
his career started only with classical music.
but now rock, pop and techno music is more important to him.
as well as being active under the name bert peppercorn he also has made music together with other artists like hardy hard, dub taylor, kook feat. roxxy bione or jeanette biedermann.
in 2003 he was responsible for the musical arrangement and live performance of the electro pop-mini musical "hotline to heaven" written by the british author and actress barbara spitz.
since 2005 he is the live keyboarder for the jamaican reggae and dancehall queen ann shakes.
