This is a tribute to the Christian rock band Novella. This is not run by any members of the band. This site will be continuously updated as it grows. Right now I do not have any information on the artists. My hope is as this site grows, I will be able to find out what the status is of former members. This is a page for the fans. I would love any information anyone may have out there to help me grow this tribute. About the Band: The American band comes from New Jersey and was founded by singer/guitar player/keyboarder Jonathan Pagano together with the Jon Spinola (bass) and Adam Gibson (Drums). Novella is definitely among the very best of what Christian rock had to offer at the time. They have lyrics that are deeper than simple scripture quotations and trite sermons, which was groundbreaking at the time. It still is, to some extent. Their sound is full and mature. Jon Pagano is a lead vocalist who can belt out rock anthems and slow ballads with equal ease. His voice has a wonderful tone. The guitar players can shred with the best of them. Some of the music borders on progressive metal, while other songs are bluesy. There is a great anointing on their music. It is very inspirational.Novella was really ahead of its time. It is a real shame and a sad blow to Christian music that they did not gain more popularity and release more albums. The songs are different, deep, and the layout of songs is brilliantly done as well. If you ever come across their albums, 1991's "One Big Sky" or 1992's "A Liquid Earth", you've got a chance to pick up a real treasure. Both were released on the Star Song label.Current band member info: Jon Spinola resides in Ewing NJ. He is currently a Realtor. He has give me permission to give out his tagworld account. It is here: www.tagworld/jspinola.com there are some great pictures. Adam Gibson I am told resides in Indianapolis, IN. He has his own business Adam Gibson Design: Bath + Kitchen + Life. His website is here: www.adamgibsondesign.com If you are in the area, give him some business. This is taken from his site : "after touring forty nine states and several countries, his attempt at a full-time career in music, begun in 1989, led to his tiring of the starving artist's lifestyle and settling down. He happily returned to the industry as a designer and general contractor in 1994."Facts: Novella's first album beat Metalica's "Black" album in Europe. Novella received a 10 and Metalica received an 8.5
