Edinburgh based Underbelly are one of the most accomplished live bands in Scotland. New EP "Empty Faces" was released on 27 October 2008 and features 3 tracks recorded at Chem19 Studios in Hamilton, Scotland. Hear them now on their MySpace . Gigs with Nizlopi, Cosmic Rough Riders and Grim Northern Social supported the release their first EP 'Come in to Land'. Released in 2005 in Belfast's (home to 3/4 of the band) The Empire, Underbelly performed an in-store session in Virgin Megastore, conducted interviews on local radio, and made an appearance on Ulster Televisions Primetime news and entertainments show UTV Live. Edwin McFee of BBCs Across the Line after seeing the band at BelfFest - "Underbelly are in a different class from the rest of tonights performances." Meanwhile the Daily Record remarked - "Come in to Land has the same kind of quiet and loud bits beloved of Gary Lightbody. There are heavy rock guitars and soft folk guitars. After hundreds of Franz Ferdinand copycat bands it's great to hear a band following the success of Lightbody and co."

The Elements are a new and continually-growing collaborative band. Consisting currently of five core members the band was started by Edinburgh-based musician, Alan Davison, solo performer and front-man for Edinburgh-based rock/indie band, Underbelly.
Also one half of a partnership running sporadic Edinburgh music showcase, Identity Parade, Alan began The Elements as an extension of the ID Parade event in the belief that good things can come from collaborative writing with some of Edinburgh's best and like-minded musicians.
The Elements at their peak of performance will hopefully involve a stage boasting 15 - 20 musicians. So in the Words of Chief Brodie from Jaws – "we're gonna need a bigger boat".
Checkout the video for Superhero belowThe Video was launched on Saturday 30 August 2008 with a special screening at Embark in Edinburgh.

Together with Alan Davison, Woosh! promote the IDP music event, aimed at showcasing the best in Edinburgh's growing music scene. Put simply, it presents the best new musical talent from Edinburgh plus some guests from further afield. The launch night on Saturday 22 May 2004 at The Tron Basement Bar in Edinburgh featured performances by Ellis, Stealer and Underbelly. The bands were joined by Snow Patrol guitarist Nathan Connolly who performed a short acoustic set at the end of the night with Alan D (IDP promoter and Underbelly singer). This event started as an Edinburgh-based, Edinburgh-concentrated event BUT we want to expand on that and feature two Edinburgh-based bands per event with one guest band from anywhere else in Scotland.
