I create broadcast quality master recordings for songwriters and artists.
The above songs were played, programmed, produced and mixed by me in my studio.
I also have a network of session musicians and studios I use for recording - in L.A and Nashville - for when the budget allows.
My fees range from a few hundred dollars per mix - or for the creation of a sparsely arranged vocal/acoustic track, for example, through to approximately $30,000 for full length mastered albums ready for major release. It all depends on the kind of recording you need, the number of musicians involved and the perimeters of your budget. If you'd like to know more let's talk!

I started my career in music in 1995 as an ass-istant engineer for producer Chuck Howard at Curb Records in Nashville. My first day on the job we were recording vocals for legendary country artist Eddy Arnold. That same week I began recording vocals for an unknown 13 year old named LeAnn Rimes. Chuck was always doing at least 3 or more projects at a time, so he and his main engineer Bob Campbell-Smith, went off to another session while I stayed and recorded and comped the vocals for Leann's soon to-be first Billboard number 1 single "One Way Ticket (Because I Can)".
In 2001 I moved to L.A to work at the famed Record Plant Recording Studios where I engineered sessions for Nas, Limp Bizket, J-Lo, Macy Gray, and others. Overall I've been involved in engineering records from genres ranging from country to rock to pop and a few things in between with the likes of Lee Ann Womack, more LeAnn Rimes, Rodney Atkins, Garth Brooks, Reba, Brandy, The Format, Luis Miguel, Boys II Men, Barenaked Ladies, Guster, Alejandro Sanz, Wynton Marsalis, Michael Jackson and many, many more.
I've also had the pleasure of working with some of the best engineers and producers in the world including Roy Thomas Baker, Mike Shipley, Patrick Leonard, and Kevin Killen. I was extremely lucky to get the opportunities I did back then and I hope to give a bit back now by helping artists realize their full potential and vision.
I produced, engineered and mixed the album, "Higher Ground", for Australian singer and TV personality Tania Kernaghan. It went on to be the top selling independent album of her genre for 2006. After 2 years, it's still producing top 10 singles, including "Life Don't Get Much Better Than This" (written by my beautiful wife, Fiona - as were all of the songs on that record.) "Life" stayed at number 1 for 4 weeks on Australia's country chart.
I went on to produce, mix and play most of the instruments on Fiona's pop singer songwriter album "Shadow Wine and Truth Lilies" . You can hear samples of the album above and on her website. If you go there and sign up for her newsletter, you get a FREE mp3 of the song "The World Inside".
Recently Fiona and I wrote and recorded Tania Kernaghan's new album, "Livin' The Dream". Recorded in Nashville with Craig White navigating the SSL and Nashville's best musicians behind the glass playing spectacularly, we created one of Tania's best and hopefully best selling albums to date. We'll see where it lands on the charts in a few weeks!
