The 804 Clique is a young multi-talented rap group known for their ingenius lyrics, in house beats and charming swagger with the ladies. The group consist of 3 rappers, Yung Streetz(17) Murda Mar(21) Tae Gunnz(23) all from Tappahannock VA. Originally, created by Shawn Braxton AKA Face in 2001, the group soon had a local buzz and caught the attention of local producer/artist Tion Pri. Pri already had local Tappahannock artist Chris Brown on his team and was introduced to Tae Gunnz through Brown. Immediately impressed with Tae’s swagger and rhyme construction, Tion began to record tracks with Tae. In 2004, group member Tae Gunnz graduated from Essex High School and began making plans to further his education in audio engineering. Shortly before attending The Institute of Audio Research (IAR) located in New York City, group member Tae Gunnz received an unexpected call from Chris Brown with news that he was just signed to Jive Records and would help get The 804 Click signed as well. 3 years later, Brown finally summonsed the group to the studio in order to record a single and to discuss future endeavors. Brown booked time at Pharell Williams studio in VA Beach, VA. The song was entitled “Get it Get it” and featured Brown on the hook. After recording this single, The 804 Clique were then sent back to Tappahannock with Browns word that he would have major contacts and meetings arranged for the group. This never materialized and as time progressed, the reality of the situation became more apparent to them that Brown’s broken promises were going to get them nowhere. In 2008, The 804 Clique then met with Chris O’Neal [a.k.a Baby J], the owner of Cashin’n Entertainment - a management company and independent record label. Baby J assembled an incredible team of talent. He introduced The 804 Clique to Studda Man (David Sault) - a self-taught audio engineer and creator of beats - who produces tracks for Cashin’n Entertainment. The chemistry which has resulted from this ensemble of phenomenal talent by Baby J has been unbelievable and beyond reproach. Cashin’n is on a quest to be a recognized as a musical powerhouse, taking the industry by storm in perfecting the talent of artists and producing hit after hit !
