DEVIAN
In the beginning of 2007 Emil asked me to join forces with him and Legion’s new formed band Devian. After 14 years in different bands I must say that this is the first band for me where everyone in the band shares the same vision, both musical and visionary. In October 2007 we released our debut album, Ninewinged Serpent, via Century Media Records. We will fight to claim a place in the metal skies above…

Expurgatory
In 2006 I missed the feeling of playing in normal metal band with clean vocals. I teamed up with one of the best singers I have ever meet Lars Palmqvist and, once again, Samuel took the place behind the drums. Expurgatory music is heavily influenced by thrash and death metal with a touch of British heavy metal. The band is still active but kind of on hold due to Devian activities.
Charons Nymfer
In 2005 Dick Lundberg presented a new project to me. He had decided to record the songs of Carl Michael Bellman in a completely new way. The songs of Bellman are a cultural heritage in Sweden. Dick wanted to focus on the darker side of his lyrics. I have proposed to add some melody guitar for the first tune that he had recorded. I added my love for Swedish folk music to the music and took the songs to a new level so Dick asked me to join because he didn’t think he couldn’t do this without me. We teamed up with a noise artist and breed something completely new in the music scene. This is by far the most original band I’ve been involved in. We totally raped Bellman’s songs with distorted vocals, heavy guitars, noise, a lot of samples and spellbinding acoustic guitars. The few people that understood the complexity of our debut album, titled Se döden på dig väntar (Behold death awaits thee) totally loved the album and praised it to skies. Most of the people didn’t understand a thing and were upset that we had raped Bellman’s songs. The songs were written in the studio and we experimented allot while doing it since we used about 20-40 channels for every song. This is one of the most interesting projects that I’ve been involved in by my opinion. Dick and I shared almost the same musical vision and together with the noise artist we gave birth to one of the most twisted records ever.
Aktiv Dödshjälp
After been fucked by the American label with Suicidal Seduction and been fucked in general by life itself for few years I desperately needed some output for these emotions. At the university I came across a talented crust core singer that introduced me to Skitsystem and the whole crust-scene. This was something completely new for me. I had never heard such angry music. If you want to express some aggressive emotions, crust is defiantly the best way to do it! So together with this singer and Samuel, again, we formed a crust core act called Aktiv Dödshjälp. We released some cd-rs and a split on different labels and then the rest of the band wanted to change the core or put it to rest. After they left the band I decided to keep it alive and wrote a new album that became the first album released on CD. I have entitled the album as 4:48 and it became a true success for the band. It was released in 2007 and it’s one of the top selling records of Halvfabrikat Records. Hopefully I’m going to do something more with Aktiv Dödshjälp in the future, but right now the band is on hold due to my commitments with Devian.
Suicidal Seduction
When The Sebu Cragus had been put to rest I felt the urge to perform brutal music again. Samuel and I recruited some friends and formed a death metal oriented alliance.
After a year we had a record deal with an American label but we were quite fucked up by them.
A year later we had some line-up changes and had a new record offer. We recorded the “Guilty on all counts” MCD in Devo’s ( Marduk ) Endarker studio. It was released by Ominous Recordings and had a bunch of real good reviews.
We performed at Arvika Festivalen 2006 and things started moving quite well.
Then I felt that we hadn’t the same goals and visions within the band. So after our last gig at the Linköping Metal Massacre II we silently put the band to an end.
I evolved much as a guitar player in Suicidal Seduction and the recording session at Endarker was really important for me.
