MyGen Profile Generator THE EAN MACHINE is a band from the south of the Netherlands that brings you songs about ‘the little things in life’ with the pleasantly honest stripped-down sound you would expect from a band with the simple line-up of a drummer, a bass player and two guitar players. This indie pop/rock band with clear American(a) influences such as Wilco, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and Jackpot has released their third EP this spring, titled ‘Allright!’Singer/songwriter and guitarist of The Ean Machine Ine Janssen has been making music with Bruce van Staalduinen, the drummer, since as early as 1992. Several changes in name, line-up, and style have finally resulted in The Ean Machine in 2000.Though The Ean Machine’s sound is not easily described, one could call it “roots-poprock with an edge.” Sweet sultry songs are combined with good rock songs, and one should not be alarmed when the disc player seems to have accidentally switched to an album of The Pogues; it is still The Ean Machine.In April 2007, The Ean Machine released their new EP ‘Allright!’, with predominantly rock-songs with a persistently firm bassline mixed with two songs with clearly detectable folk-influences.
