Ipswich Ripple Food Co-op

About Me

How does it work?
The co-op is based at the Salvation Army Hall on Bramford Road, Ipswich. We receive deliveries there and use the venue for storage as well as open for trade to members and the public.
Who are the suppliers?
The bulk of the goods come from a national wholefood supplier. A catalogue will be on display for members to choose products during opening hours. The co-op also seeks to stock local producers of high quality and organic goods. There is space and encouragement for allotment holders and gardeners who wish to sell at the co-op.
What can I buy?
Anything from the catalogue, i.e seeds, nuts, dried fruit, pulses, grains, eco-friendly cleaning products and toiletries, baking ingredients, pet foods, juices, soya milk, chocolate.
What are the opening hours?
Opening hours are 10-1 on fortnightly Saturdays.
How much is membership?
Full membership costs £10 per year per household, although if you can afford a larger donation would be welcome. If you would like to browse when we are open there will be a small mark-up on goods you buy, as well as a £1 ‘day membership fee’. The surplus goes to cover the coop’s cost, rent and equipment. Members don’t just constitute a source of income- they also volunteer to help out during opening hours, ordering goods and receiving deliveries.
