Dj TITO (Shakedjs - Paris - FR)
Originally from Belgium, Tito meets music through daddy's disco collection..
He touches his first turntables in 1995 and started his first residency in a deep house dj bar. The following year, the artistic direction of a dj café through his association to produce artists, he places himself on the local underground scene. While developing his network, he regularly invites parisian djs (D'Julz / Paco / Dyed Soundorom ..) to share the line-up of his events.
By 1999, his shared residency with his friend F.E.X and K-Mu at Saxo Club helps him getting known by some important promoters. His well appreciated dj sets lead him to play his sound in several afterhours, clubs and other underground venues (Folies Pigalle, L'Enfer / Loco / .. Bains Douches). Since living in Paris, Tito has established his musical laboratory at Café Jade (trendy restaurant / bar in St Germain-des-Prés).
Following his desire to share his passion for music, his dj collective Shakedjs "founded in 2003, featuring djs by musical and human affinities getsTito to particpate in launching and developing events and venues ( Intimacy / Prohibition / Kitch Up). A number of events are emerging in the clubs and more unusual places and underground (Redlight / Maxim 's / / Espace Cardin / Madam / Djoon / Salons du Louvre / Alternative ..). With Shakedjs, it also participates in the promotion and programming of several establishments (Café Jade / Cithéa Nova/C7/Sancerre).
For several years already, Tito punctuates his way travelling abroad. A quarter in New York in early 2004 allows him to gather some local actors around a common project, the "Unknown People" quickly created surprise, stirring several times a week the clubs and lounges from that "City That Never Sleeps". For nearly two years, Tito had a few crunches of the "Big Apple", agitating the New York clubbing scene, taking him to Miami for the WMC 2005.
Bitten by the fun of his travelmixing, he multiplies his musical tribulations around the world .. From NYC to Tahiti, as well as several times in China, Australia, the Balkans and in Istanbul for a few weeks launching the "Supperclub". More recently, it is during his tour in Sweden, private parties in Morocco and Ukraine for the festival Kazantip that Tito confirms his ability to seduce dancefloors ..
"From Jazz-Lounge, Underground-Disco/Soul & Techno/Minimal House .." this is how Tito defines his musical field.
It is in between Minimal/House and colorful mental DeepTechno that Tito finds the way to express his artistic's best.
His selections are demanded for many shows (Must de Cartier / Collection Tudor 2009 / Francesco Smalto). His programming as wel as his rich and resolutely fluids mixes gets him to share his vision of music in bars, restaurants, webradios, aftershows , parties and private clubs. The will to share the extent of musical universe adds an extra dimension to his sound, mixing rhythms and samples from many various horizons.
With his experience,according to his unique identity, it is more as an artist rather than a dj that Tito has designed his carreer. It is driven by the diversity of his musical culture and knowledge of the dancefloors that this recognised artist is naturally getting into producing his own..
