Letters to the Editor New Songs Up!!!!

Letters to the Editor (LTR’s) is an American pop rock band from the San Francisco Bay Area in a rural town called Brentwood, California. Letters to the Editor was formed in 2008 by lead singer Shane Jones on guitar and piano, Erik Aku on Bass guitar, Chris Wood on guitar and vocals, and twin brother Ryan Wood, drums. The foundation of the band was set when all the members played music together through their high school years in a previous ska pop rock band called Dice in the Icebox (2004-2007). That band was started by Shane Jones in his sophomore year of high school along with fellow drummer Ryan Wood. As the high school years passed lifes paths took some members in different directions. The band went from seven members to its current state of four. The members of Dice in the Icebox decided to create a newer mature sound along with a new name, Letters to the Editor. Since then LTR’s has been featured in many news articles in the Bay Area, which helped in landing a spot on last summers 2008 Van’s Warped Tour. Their most recent feat was winning Hollywood’s Best New Talent competition in the “Best Band Category” allowing LTR’s to perform their largest performance to date, Hollywood’s Kodak Theater.
Letters to the Editor is best known for their electrifying live performances that keep you wanting more. Embedded into their songs are lyrics of life’s journeys and a message that gives an uplifting meaning to life whether you’re facing times of hardship or pure joy. If you can’t get enough from their live gig’s their hilarious home video-cast featured on Youtube and i-tunes will make you laugh and feel like you have four brothers but without them teasing and picking on you. Knowing that without fans there is no band LTR’s puts forth a substantial effort to interact with fans by all avenues possible whether through the web or in person.
With endless possibilities in front of them, Letters to the Editor know that the skys the limit as they continue to strive to perfect their art in their new home of the greater Los Angeles area. As their journeys of life continue to inspire them to write new music their sound is sure to continue to be unique and inspirational to all those who embark on the journey with them.
