Cheryl Simmons, affectionately, known as Cheri, was born in Long Island, N.Y. Upon graduation from St. John the Baptist D.H.S. located in West Islip, N.Y. She first enrolled at State University of New York before transferring to Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland majoring in Political Science and Business Management with a minor in music. Cheryl always had a love for the arts. At a young age she knew her direction would be in entertainment. A former graduate of Barbizon School of Modeling and a contestant in the 19 Ms. New York State pageant. Cheryl has choreographed several fashion shows. She is a member of the New York State International Music Association (NYSIMA).In 1989 Cheryl relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. She formed an entertainment and production company, Nu- Era Group, LLC. She played an integral part in the signing of 4MILEZ and Baby Huey to name a few.
