I'm a 54 yr old, soon to be 55 in September, headbanger and old hippie flower child :) and am employed in a long term care facility where our war and peace-time veterans receive the very best of everything possible...great place to be, and yes, there ARE FANTASTIC NURSING FACILITIES...don't let the press and media make you believe ALL of them are horrendous places where residents are left alone! NOT TRUE but you'll never hear that on the news or read it in the paper. Divorced, and just finally happy to be able to come home to peace and quiet. I'm the mother of a fantastic 23 yr old son whom I adore, and if he never moves out of the house it will be fine with me :) I like to have fun, but am a realist. Be nice and kind to others, don't be a jerk! Please don't hurt the feelings of others...it's terrible to hear those who speak with any kind of prejudice, cut down others personally and judge others. I steer clear of those...all people are human, have hearts that can be broken, and have feelings. My loves are rock music (old AND new), pugs, antique jewelry and furniture, mystery books and movies,) my son, and my friends, who enjoy "BAMA-ROLL-TIDE-screamin-hollerin-to-support-our-team" games. The above take up all of my time and that's exactly how I like it. The new year has begun a whole new life for me, for the better, I might add...lessons lived, lessons learned. I was born a positive person, and it takes alot to upset me. Just "Say what you mean and mean what you SAY." Nothing's worse than lies, theft, cheating and deception wearing a facade of kindness. I detest when people will not accept responsibility and be accountable for their actions. Just be yourself and don't change for anyone. Oh, did I mention that the salary I listed was just a joke? Well, it IS, so rip & run, just have fun and don't take life so seriously. ENJOY WHAT'S LEFT OF IT, & let NO ONE CONTROL YOU. NEVER IGNORE A BEST FRIEND TO PLEASE ANYONE ELSE!
