The art of uniting text and music into one beautiful, cohesive statement is the gift of vocalist Margaret Sewell. Specializing in the performance and interpretation of German, French and English Art Song, Ms. Sewell holds Bachelor and Master of Music Degrees in Pedagogy and Performance from Oklahoma State University. A Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society member, Ms. Sewell was awarded a Graduate Teaching Fellowship in Music Theory and Voice and has received numerous accolades in the areas of music performance and scholarship.
Ms. Sewell began her relationship with the Tulsa Opera after receiving a vocal scholarship and chorus invitation during undergraduate study. A native of Oklahoma, Ms. Sewell has enjoyed performing throughout the state for more than 15 years.

Band Members: Collaborating with me is pianist Farren Mayfield - a sensitive interpreter of song who brings out the communicative nature between voice and piano. Mayfield received his MM in Performance and Pedagogy from OU and his BM from NSU. Mayfield teaches and is a staff accompanist at Northeastern State University.

Collaborating with me on the "Century of Song" recording is Oklahoma pianist Marianne Kokojan. This gifted, sensitive and intuitive artist is currently sharing her knowledge as a faculty member of Oklahoma City University's Performing Arts Academy. Ms. Kokojan maintains a steady performance schedule throughout the state as well.
