I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm just a fun-lovin, single, vegan gal hangin' out in Denver, Colorado, currently payin' the bills as a receptionist in a hair salon and a musical theater performer. I'm also the proud mom of a nine-year old miniature schnauzer named Rosie. Rosie says, "Please remember, animals are friends, not food. Thank you." She is my true soul mate, and we are very happy together. I'll let you know when we set the date. You're all invited!

Finally, someone with the courage to speak the truth...
Wilkommen to the Kit Kat Klub!

Enjoy this clip from Cabaret. Thanks, Phil!
In light of the recent and sudden closing of Country Dinner Playhouse, I decided to take my own little trip down memory lane. From 1997 to 2005 I performed in and/or understudied ten CDP shows. During that time, I was able to watch & learn from the most amazing & talented people. I was also fortunate enough to develop wonderful & lasting friendships with many of these folks, and for that I will always be grateful. I would like to share some of my experiences with you in the following two slide shows. Long live the spirit of Country Dinner Playhouse! Enjoy!

And now, ladies & gentlemen...THE BARNSTORMERS!!!

My Interests

The world is so full of amazing things!!! I love good movies, musical theater, singing, tap dancing, red wine, yummy vegan food (yes, there is such a thing!), Bikram yoga (it's HOT!), Starbucks soy chai tea lattes (GET IT RIGHT!), and toast--everyone loves it--you know you do.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who enjoys life and wants to have fun! It also helps if you're cute!
This is my new friend Sylvester. See....he's cute!

adopt your own virtual pet!

If you wanna know why I tap dance, just watch the following video. It's undeniably the greatest dance routine ever filmed. It's from Broadway Melody of 1940 featuring the amazing Eleanor Powell and Fred Astaire. It was filmed in ONE TAKE!!!! Watch and be amazed.......

Music:

Anything a person can tap dance to...which is pretty much anything. Right now I'm really into Michael Buble, Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Madeline Peyroux, Norah Jones, Marc Broussard, Diana Krall, Paolo Nutini, Rodrigo y Gabriella, and Jane Monheit.

Movies:

So many great movies...Far From Heaven, The Hours, Boogie Nights, Magnolia (basically anything with Julianne Moore and/or John C. Reilly), Requiem for a Dream, Elizabeth, Dead Man Walking, Kissing Jessica Stein, A Beautiful Mind, American Beauty, Chicago, In the Bedroom, Finding Neverland, Chocolat, Singin' in the Rain, Moulin Rouge, West Side Story, Adaptation, Being John Malkovich, About Schmidt, Rocky, American History X, Fight Club, Friends with Money, Terms of Endearment, Fried Green Tomatoes, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo. These are just a FEW of my faves off the top of my head.

Television:

LOST (can't get through the week without it), Buffy, and Sex and the City. That's pretty much it except for Dancing with the Stars (mid-season when it starts to get good) and my guilty pleasure, Days of our Lives.

Books:

The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan. A facinating read about the food we eat and where it all really comes from. Be afraid...that's all I'm sayin. Harry Potter, of course. The Tricky Part by Martin Moran, an emotional and inspiring true story of one man's journey toward forgiveness for the man who molested him as a child. Straight up and Dirty by Stephanie Klein, a laugh-out-loud memoir about a divorcee back in the dating scene (sound familiar???). No fair, she has a LOT more sex than me. I guess that's why she got to write a book. And last but not least, I own almost everything Stephen King ever wrote--in hard back.

Heroes:

Gene Kelly and Gregory Hines--no explanation needed. My boss/friend Lisa, my tap teacher Ellie, and my voice teacher Mimi--The three most amazing and inspiring ladies you could ever meet. Oh yeah, and Gandhi. He was pretty cool, too.

Your vivid emotions and imagination takes you away from this world
So much so that you tend to live in your head most of the time
You have great dreams and ambitions that could be the envy of all...
But for you, following through with your dreams is a bit difficult
You are charming, endearing, and people tend to love you.
Forgiving and tolerant, you see the world through rose colored glasses.
Underneath it all, you have a ton of passion that you hide from others.
Always hopeful, you tend to expect positive outcomes in your life.
