LesBoss

we live in a chocolate city called Turin. Some of us also live outside the city, but this is not important...the important is that we all met each other here. the project started by 2 guys (superdeelay) and (ultrabax) coming from differents band or so-called bands of the city. After few research the 2 guys with in mind many images, cartoons and sound found a drummer. They met him in a bar a cheap bar and they all decided that was the drummer man (doctor mumble). So..everything start. The 3 guys started to play as an instrumental trio to find their way of sound. First sessions where very explosive and primitive until they realized that a human sound voice would have been a good idea to complete the band. After testing some human voices disastrously from "i wanna do the pete doerthy of the situation...." to the "i have recorded on a tape over 200 small growlin-death-metal my own tracks do you wanna listen to it??" we stop a minute. And suddenly came up a guy that did not say so much but tried to make the 3 guysband sound on (captain bb.) And better! made them Shouting! So, that's when lesboss born. That's when lesboss started to test all amplifiers of the city and when first tracks come up. We then recorded a first "2 tracks cd" containing something very lo-fi that in that case passed our hi-fi test that made lesboss live. First appearence as a four-guys band come in Maison Musique, a temple of the folk-music fetish people that we already do not know how we have played in there! After that experience lesboss found in mr. Margiotta (a sexy dj from other times) and in his great club Padiglione14 a good place where to play, just not far away from the city. There we start playing with groovy bands like local fuzzgarage heros Acid Lemon and the superfaster sixties combo The Rippers from Sardinia to the world. More faster than you expect. After keepin on following playin for some summer events we decided to record a serious 4 track cd. We met Raffaele Mercurio from the Soundlok and he looks to be the right guy to judge our wrestling match in record session, so tang!!!!!! let's record. Four-tracks, recorded live in few days. "leave to space"shake your bombs"five track"loosener on dumbness".this is last year 2005. And that's the time when we restart to play live to promote the cd and pass selection of a contest we where in for playing and we finish to be in the final evening. In the meantime our human voice (captain bb) decided to take a trip with an other side local-band, the Baddogboogie, and our drummer (doctor mumble) choose to improve his sound too with an other band the Formistake. lesboss continue....anyway......to sound .. fews good live acts at the beginning of the year and the change of drumming man, ultrabax still bassplay, superdeelay still gritarr and captain bb still break balls.So....this is leboss? L'EP dei torinesi "Lesboss", dal titolo omonimo, fa muovere le gambe ed agitare il fondoschiena, perchè il ritmo delle composizioni e la spinta melodica non concede sosta dalla prima all'ultima nota.Quattro brani fulminanti di due minuti e mezzo ciascuno, tranne il secondo che dura "addirittura" tre minuti e ventitrè secondi, sono il contenuto di questo disco d'esordio della band composta da Captain BB - Le Chanteur, SuperDelay - Le Guitarre, Doctor Mumble - Le Batteur, MegaKula - Le Basseur.Su una base di chitarra abrasiva, basso pulsante e batteria tumultuosa si srotola un cantato in inglese isterico e abbagliante (figlio di Talking Heads, Dead Kennedys e Cramps), che dilaga per ogni dove e colora ed esaspera l'insieme.Questo è rock grezzo e cattivo Lor Signori: si tengano lontani amanti di Boards of Canada e della malinconia in musica di tutte le gradazioni. Leave To Space, Shake Your Bombs e Fivetrack, i primi tre brani dell'EP, sono altrettanti hits di presa immediata, ironici e caustici. Con il quarto pezzo, Loosener On Dumbness, i Lesboss si avvicinano all' alternative rock e perdono in freschezza, risultando pi? anonimi.Registrazione ottima, buona tecnica di esecuzione, bella grafica di copertina fanno di questo Ep un ottimo esordio; nessuna novità nella proposta musicale ma con brani intriganti decisamente ben fatti ed un'energia intatta su disco rispetto alla dimensione live, anzi direi addirittura superiore. Nulla da invidiare agli americani.Niente di più, nulla di meno.++++++++++++++++++++++++------------------------------- ------- ..
