About Me

Greetings Everyone;
My Name is Sam Kimpton and, among a host of things, I play steel-tip darts. I am known
for throwing a 180 bust in match play against Niles Lehman; A stunt which caused
three-time world champion, John Part, to call me "naughty".
I required 162 for an out and threw two darts in the triple 20 bed and decided for the
novelty to throw the third for a 20 to leave double 11 for a finish the next round.
I must have been focusing on the T20 as this is where my last dart landed.
Now before you go ballistic on me, please understand that I know the third dart should
have gone in the 10 bed to leave me with 32 for a finish, i.e. D16. I just decided to
try something different.
I did, however, go on the win the game.
Lesson learned. There's a reason for the "accepted wisdom" on dart finishes.
Anyway I digress,....Manic digression is a heart breaker!
I have been known by a number of names. Among those I can mention in mixed company
are "Bulldog", and (when my darts are not flying so well) "epileptic amoeba",
"spastic chimpanzee" and the like. I earned the nickname "The Executioner" by cold
bloodedly eliminating a friend of mine in the last game of league championship play
in May 2007.
My friend gave up darts as a result.
Don't get me wrong, I was not pleased with his decision and felt a little bad about
blowing him away at the oche like I did but it was not personal. It was only
darts and in championship or match play it is all business with darts.
I am currently under contract with the PADA to play in singles competition during
the coming season starting 29 January.
I created this MySpace page to establish a presence here as most of my colleagues in the
dart world have profiles like this one.
I also have started a page on blogspot.com where I am prone to post anything I feel like
posting. My myspace is primarily for darts. So feel free to check our my other blog at
My Blogspot page .
Throw well.
