Who is Kahea Woods businessperson and a househusband with several years of experience in the automotive industry. Kahea Woods is the team owner and rider of the team’s primary race bike.Kahea is a transplant from Honolulu HI to Las Vegas in order to pursue a career in the states and to race in a more competitive environment.Kahea is the off spring of a many time drag racing champion. It was only natural for Kahea to become involved in drag racing on a semiprofessional level.Kahea started racing competitively in 1984 using a 1979 Camaro Z28. He soon switched to his true love, motorcycles. Continuing his racing in 1987 with a Kawasaki street bike, which he sold and now rides a 1995 Suzuki GSXR 1100 Pro Stock style bike.The team in its first full year of racing placed 2nd in points for the Pro Bike class in Hawaii. He then moved to Las Vegas, and after a four year hiatus he returned to racing for the teams second full season, in which the team placed 5th in points, ahead of 21 fierce competitors. In 1997 the team wanted a new challenge, so they raced on a Divisional level and competed in NHRA division 7 in which the team placed 2nd. In 2004 the team won the Summit series points championship at Las Vegas Motor speedway. They also won the Summit Race of Champions at Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, CA. The 2005 Pacific Division National open.Kahea is proud of his team’s efforts and feels that they served their sponsors well and with additional help they can finish at the top.
