Rocky Carbine is from Wirrangu Nation of the Ceduna and Yalata region of South Australia. His homeland and people were effected by the nuclear testing in the 1950’s at Maralinga. He began his music career as an original member of the band Coloured Stone and has been at the forefront of Indigenous music since the early ‘70s.Rocky Carbine is a comtempory singer/songwriter and his song come from heart and drawing inspiration from his physical and cultural surrounding. From the outback to the coast of his traditional homeland his songs take you on an inspirational journey.Having played with many Indigenous Bands including “No Fixed Address “and “Us Mob†the main focus now is doing his Solo performances. This direction has proven very successful with performance at local community events as well state and national festivals.Rocky Carbine has a wonderful rich voice,charisma,stage character and stories he is powerful performer evoking strong emotions.
