Rockstar in the Making

My life will be the stuff of legend.

About Me

Having the time of my life right now in college studying my biggest passion--music. Couldn't imagine doing anything else. I play several instruments and put in several hours' practice most of the week. I love to read and have a fairly diverse collection of books that grows on a regular basis. I live to enjoy life. I'm the kind of guy who sings in the car with the radio at full blast, who rides tall rollercoasters, and who watches scary movies late at night with all the lights turned off. I do what I want, when I want and answer only to my own sense of purpose and drive. I plan on traveling extensively after I graduate, especially to Europe and Asia and going to culinary school after finishing my music degree. In the future, I plan to get into extreme sports like skydiving and hangliding, and to visit every continent on the planet before I die.

My Interests

..Live Music, Movies, Books, Fashion, Travel, Dining Out, Museums, Journaling, Magic, Martial Arts, Theater, Swimming, the list goes on...

I'd like to meet:

In general I'd like to meet people who are incredibly funny, creative, intelligent, optimistic or gifted. I truly believe that surrounding yourself with people like this improves your quality of life. In regards to women, I primarily look for a connection. I'm the kind of guy who has to make friends with a woman first before even considering a serious relationship. I think there's a lot to be gained from doing this so that it leads to a strong relationship down the road. I generally look for several things, the most important being confidence and personality. It has been my experience that the really "hot" girls aren't always the most fun to be around with. Regardless, I've come across several women in my life of different personalities who are really down-to-earth and with whom I've shared many positive experiences. The bottom line is that a pretty face just isn't enough, so if all you've got to offer are your looks, then we probably won't be a match. If you think you got what it takes to bring on good times and good company however, you just might get a chance. Dates with me usually involve stuff outdoors or low-key stuff that allows for lots of conversation and friendly competition. I'm not the kind of guy who goes on a first date and tells you my life's story, or talks about the Laker's game or the Ex. I'd rather do a thumb-wrestling match, staring-contest, the 5-question game or the Cold-reading game (both of which I am UNBEATABLE). I'm pretty laid back and my sense of humor is fairly random and sarcastic. I'm not the kind of guy who puts up with flakes or drama queens--don't have the time. My general rule for a first date is simple: If I make a girl laugh, then she has to pay the tab. On the other hand, if SHE makes me laugh before I make HER laugh, then I cover the tab. Those are my terms. You up to the challenge?

Music:

..I dig the musical styles of Incubus, The Exies, and Muse, to name a few. My more cultured tastes include artists like Norah Jones, Sam Phillips, and Josh Groban. As for styles, I have tastes ranging from Rock and Reggae, to Jazz and Opera. Ska is a big one.

Movies:

..I'm a big fan of action, sci-fi, horror, comedies, foreign and independent films. Some of my all-time favorite movies are Back To The Future, Fight Club, 28 Days Later, and The Wedding Singer.

Television:

..Hardly have the time to watch it, but when I do it's usually something on PBS. Huge fan of shows like Nip/Tuck, Will and Grace, Malcolm in the Middle, and Gilmore Girls.

Books:

..Generally, the kind of stuff most people won't read--Musicology, Astronomy, Cooking, Psychology, History, Interior Design and Foreign Languages to name a few. Love to read. Very few people realize the true value of books.

Heroes:

..Bond, James Bond.

The only cool thing about Star Wars--light saber battles. The music here is okay, but the action is kickass! Now adding "Learn to fight with swords" right next to "Become a ninja" on to my To-Do List....

Isn't it great, when you can wake up in the morning to fresh air, a light breeze, and a clear sky?  You can hear leaves rustle, singing birds, and the "melodious" sound of traffic?  Isn't gr...
