I am a work at home mom with 2 wonderful children and a 3rd one on the way! I always knew that when we had children it was a value of mine to be at home to raise our kids; to be their mentor and the influence in their lives vs someone else (I now choose to home school them as well) So few years ago my amazing husband and I launched a couple companies ; an e-commerce biz (similar to an Amazon/myspace model)to take advantage of the technology trends (www.mpowerment.biz) as well as a health and beauty company in order to impact the health and wellness industry(www.gnme.biz).
I grew up in small town Iowa always planning to escape and conquer the world. I did escape to the city of Chicago where we have begun our quest of conquering! However conquering does require helping other people and that is the phase we are in, searching for Team One.
My Team One includes an army of people that have a value of raising their children, not because they fit the stereotype of not thinking for themselves or not able to kick butt in the the corporate world, but choose to raise their children and are not just a house wife or Mr. Mom but in todays world can run a company from their house bigger than the one that most people work at. Plus they can do it with their kids, still look good and out perform most of the 9 to 5ers out there. Come on gals-I am not the only one out there to prove while most people are commuting to work, we are out in the backyard with a headset passing most people. I am looking for are personal trainers that actually do their job (check out my friend DNA Fitness).
Individuals in the film/movie industry that are beginning to see to feel their talents fading because they are having to focus on raising funds vs having creative freedom.
Those in their Mid 20s that have made some money, had a little sucess but wonder-is this it-and want to achieve more, be inspired by others passions and wisdom, but able to do it without the ego.
Athletes that are out to prove they still have it and can take it to the business world from the court/field.
Current or ex-miliary that are used to leading a squad or been on the battle field and don't want to spend the rest of their life in a cubicle.
