About Me

Get Your Own! | View SlideshowPeople say I'm really easy to talk to, which is ironic because in high school I used to be rather shy. I guess four years as a communication major changed me somewhat. So if ever there's something on your mind my door is always open, and a cup of tea will be waiting on the table for you! ^_^ ...or perhaps you prefer something with a lil kick ;-)More Videos..Koto Practice

Add to My Profile | More Videos________ I'm 22 years old. I just graduated from college, and now I've found myself half-a-world away in a country that's allured me for years now. I live in a small town in the Japanese countryside, where the people live happy, humble lives and everyone knows me. Whenever my students see me set foot outside my residence their faces light up, and I soon find myself being chased by a mob of super-energized children with their yellow caps, inviting smiles, high-pitched shouting, clamoring for attention as I head to and from my schools. My junior high students, although a bit shy at times, are quite brotherly and sisterly teaching me the regional dialect while I teach them English in class, and we laugh at each other's lingual blunders over lunch, oftentimes spitting rice onto each other's trays. It's beginning to look more like I won't be coming back to the US even by next summer. I can't say where my future is, I don't know if I've found paradise, but for now it appears my heart is becoming increasingly attached to this place. I'm falling in love with the people, the hills, the sweetness in the wind that seems strangely familiar to me even though I've never been here before, but someday I know I must leave and that day will not pass without shedding a tear. A place called Kurobuchi - tranquil, isolative, poetic, and eerily spiritual. Centuries ago there was a castle here, of which little remains. ...Feels like they still roam around in the evenings. ...
