My dad is a folk musician. Until age of 16 or something I was a passive folk musician. I hated folk music, thought it was nerdy. But one day a beautful girl visited our home to play with my dad. I wondered what could be so interested with this nerdy music that a girl of my age was interested in.
So I started listening to my dad's records and playing folk music on my guitar. Soon enough I heard about Jonny Soling who started playing violin at 26 and now is one of the foremost swedish folk music fiddlers. I decided to do the same, so I started playing violin.
I played like a maniac for one year. Then I applied for a 1 year folk music course at Malungs Folkhögskola... And the rest is history. I've been playing constantly ever since.
Lately I've started composing my own tunes. I want to constantly improve in music and if possible I would like to make a living of it.
At the moment I am very happy with my playing but not as happy with my recording gear. The videos are recorded with my mobile phone and the songs mostly with my computer mike. So it's a bit "lo-fi", like in the 70's!
