About Me

I was involved in Welsh organizations such as the Druid Society and National Gymanfa Ganu Association early on, played percussion in the school band and performed in plenty of Broadway shows in high school. Some notable operatic roles later on: Xerxes as Amastre, Madama Butterfly as Suzuki, and The Old Maid and the Thief as Miss Todd (the old maid). I've performed often in the Youngstown area with the Youngstown Opera Guild, Valley Lyric Opera, and various Gymanfa Ganu Associations, among others.
Since 2004 I've appeared as Hansel in the Dana School of Music’s staged production of Hansel and Gretel, spent time singing with the Wade Raridon Singers of Youngstown, and done some soloist work with Jon Simsic’s Seraphim and the annual Gymanfa Ganu / St. David’s Day celebrations in Niles and Youngstown.
In the Fall of 2005 I won first place at the David G. Morris Semi-Professional Competition in Orlando, Florida during the North American Festival of Wales; the next year in Swansea, Wales I was awarded second place at the 2006 National Eisteddfod in the Over 25 Mezzo-Soprano stage competition. (Live radio and TV, eek!)
I am a graphic design and illustration guru by day ( the studio I run is here ) and a singer / writer / thinker / doer / adventurer by night. If you're interested in knowing more about me, you may stalk me via my personal blog if you wish. (I love meeting new people.)
I'm still planning, plotting and performing, now based in Austin, with possible plans for the 2007 International Eisteddfod and a few new albums to put together. I am in the Youngstown area fairly regularly for performances, however, if you're curious -- look me up. ;}

About the music clips posted:

Ar hyd y nos, Ar lan y mor and Suogan were performed live at WCPN in February of 2005 for their St. David's Day edition of British & Irish. The wonderful guitarist is Paiman Samimi, from Cleveland, OH.

Draw tua Bethlehem was performed live as part of the British & Irish Christmas Special at WCPN. The (amaaaazing) pianist is Marge Adler from Cleveland, who I (desperately) would like the chance to work with again. She was phenomenal!

Lyrics and translations may be forthcoming, as these are all Welsh traditional tunes, except for Draw tua Bethlehem, by Hugh Gwynne. I plan to post more as soon as I can!
