About Me

I like to think I'm a pretty cool chick. Although my love for cars and video games (amongst other things) sometimes makes me feel like I was born the wrong gender. I consider myself an artist with a great eye for color. I love floral design and can't see myself doing anything else in this life. I have a B.S. in Secondary Education, but I'm really not up for using it at this point in my life; my 4 years at URI were some of the best of my life though. (especially my apartment, so many good times there, right pat?!)
I'm a Scorpio, which, once you know me, will explain a lot about who I am. (It takes a special person to tolerate us). I try to be a good slice of humanity (yes, I hold doors for people, say 'please' and 'thank you')... No one has manners anymore. Although, sometimes I do curse people out during bouts of road rage (I'm working on it)...
I think Keith Olbermann is one of the smartest men alive. I really don't think Dane Cook is the funniest comedian. I never understood chick's fascination with Sex in the City, I'd take some cable news over that show any day.
I like to play around in HTML. I'm a bit of a nerd. I will always be a hippie at heart and a diehard Democrat. I can't tolerate people who aren't passionate about what they do. I also cannot tolerate typing laziness, such as: using "your" and "ur" instead of "you're"...it's not that hard to type a couple of extra letters and an apostrophe; or people who use numbers or single letters instead of a whole word.
I'm a former fag hag and I honestly love gay men more than any other men on this planet. I'm a good friend and I'll do just about anything for you if you win me over. I like to ask random questions. I'm completely liberated and open minded to a lot of things, which people sometime mistake for promiscuity. Don't get it twisted. I'm a good girl, just englightened.
I am addicted to getting ink and piercings. Physical pain is when you feel most alive; I love nothing more. I'm a good daugther, a rad aunt/godmother, and I'm trying to be a good sister.
I do not like creepy old men (read: if you are over 35, I probably don't want to talk to you)...move along, and find someone more suitable for your age because although I may be 3 away from the dirty 30, I certainly don't act my age.

I'd like to meet:

Leah Rimini. She is my sassy hero. I'd also like to meet Chris Matthews for some reason. Oh and Vincent D'Onofrio and also I'd probably marry Vince Vaughn in a millisecond.

I enjoy funny, sarcastic, quick witted, intelligent people; oh and it doesn't hurt if you're a looker too.

Music:

pretty much everything: trip hop, hip hop, old and neo soul, jazz, country, deep house, uk/speed garage, drum n bass...i'm a sucker for justin timberlake and christina. teen pop is a guilty pleasure.
oh and shhh don't tell anyone, i secretly still listen to happy hardcore.....and i'm not going to lie, i live for george michael (both wham! and solo) and cher.

Movies:

lotr, wedding crashers, grandma's boy, secretary, midnight in the garden of good and evil, usual suspects, 50 first dates, ever after, fight club, mall rats, chasing amy, clerks, unfaithful, flags of our fathers, swingers, whipped, cruel intentions, under the tuscan sun, interview with a vampire

Television:

prison break, ghost hunters (props to grant and jay from RI!), nip/tuck, rescue me, anything on bravo, law and order (all of them), the girls next door, will and grace reruns, girlfriends, king of queens ...and i'm always a sucker for a makeover show.

Books:

everything i need to know about men i learned from my dog, the greatest generation, ordinary men, to kill a mockingbird, the notebook, story of the eye, lots of nerdy history books

Heroes:

grace ormonde, strong intelligent women, single parents, my moms, people who devote themselves and their time to better the world, teachers, and danyelle cause of her USO status
