Put Reggaeton a side & forget about everything you think you know about Spanish rap and pay attention to the new sound of Central America. "Every line we write is different from what you heard before" say Magnates (Henry a.k.a Joka & Cease). Currently working with two of Montreal’s hidden gems (Sosa a.k.a. Mafiososa & Fullklip) on an LP, these Merciless Musick newest recruits are spicing up some tracks & quickly catching the attention of the most critical Latin hip-hop fanatics.
Although the name may suggest a higher lever of accomplishment, Magnates, influenced by Salvadorian roots, are just getting started, spreading a new trend that is making people say "finally somebody unlike most of these artists who are just copycats of what came before". If only every new artist could spit and sound like Magnates & put the same style, flow & work ethics, all of that combined with killer loops, that'll force you to rearrange your thoughts about rap. Every rapper is blessed with talent, but unlike Magnates, not all of them are able to have a distinctive flow to showcase that talent.
