Mike (Michalis) Aliagas was born in Athens from a Greek father and a Peruvian mother.
From an early age, his music stimuli were variable. He was influenced by the artistic and folk Greek music, as well as by the music of the 80’s all around the world. Fascinated by the music of Andean, he quickly discovered folklore music. At the age of 16 he began electric guitar courses. .
He experimented on jazz, rock, ending in blues, which influenced his playing as far as the guitar is concerned. .
In recent years he has been professionally singing both solo (guitar-vocals) and with musical bands. His repertoire includes his own, Greek and foreign songs. .
In February 2004 the musical company "Kathreftis" released his first record in the form of a CD single, entitled “Allakse o Kairos” ("The Weather’s Changed"), which contains four songs, all by him. In one of these songs, Nikos Xydis, in friendly participation, undertakes the production. .
In May 2006, "Kathreftis" released his new record. It includes 10 new songs, some of his own and some of other composers, and is entitled “Ston Orizonta Tou Chronou” ("On Time’s Horizon")..
Traditional musical organs of the Andean of Latin America and the Greek sound shades are successfully orchestrated. .
