DEVANTE

I'd like to meet:

Hiya, this site has been set up in memory of our son, Devante, who was killed in a road traffic accident. Devante was riding his bike,when he was hit by a car. The doctors said he died instantly. We were at prayer meeting when the accident occured, and have been questioning God ever since. However, God, in his mercy, has lead me to read Isaiah 57 1-2,which says " The righteous man perishes,and no one lays it to heart; and merciful and devout men are taken away, with no one considering that the uncompromising upright and godly person is taken away from the calamity and evil to come (even through wickedness). He (in death) enters into peace; they rest in their beds each one who walks straight and in his uprightness". This basically means that the good die young. You see God has not promised us that we will not die (death is something that we all have to face, but he has promised us eternal life through his son jesus christ. I believe that Devante, who was only 9 years old,is now with our heavenly father; in a much better place away from the evil that is currently taking place in our socety. People, we are living in perilous times. I am glad that I am a child of God. He has been my rock and fortress during a very difficult time. I also thank God for the people that he has placed in my life to help and encourge me and the family.I would like to hear from positive people, christian and non christian(I am not a religous freak, but i am a child of the most high God),anyone with an encourging word or anyone who as been through a simular situation: you are all welcome.Children you are more that welcome to leave your comments or send messages. Devante was not wearing his helmet when he was killed and who knows, if he was wearing one,it may have prevented his death. I know that many of you,like devante will have helmets but refuse to wear them because it is not fashionable to do so. Whats more important fashion or your life???.
