About Me

<>Jazzguitarist born 1953. Playing in the Wes Montgomery / George Benson traditiont..even though my main influence is Jazzguitarist Jimmy Ponder from Pittsburgh..www,myspace.com/jimmypondertributepage another player that had a heavy impact on my playing is the wonderful souljazztenorsax player Stanley Turrentine his lines has always intrigued me.and I suppose you hear quite a bit of Mr T;s ideas in my playing finally another heavy influence is pianomaster McCoy Tyner whose music I love his groove and swing has always intrgued me as well as his marmonic conception.in my eyes one of the most interesting players ever. I am mostly known as a groove player in different organ groups. I have played with Pierre Swärd Andreas Hellkvist danish B3 maestro Kjeld Lauritsen and US player Ed Landsberg which whom I also recorded 2 albums. My playing has a healthy dosis of soul and funk..so I can not say that I am not a very intellectual player. it is all about groove one way or the other I have also played and still play with legendary sax player Ulf Andersson (ABBA, Frank Sintra, Monica Zetterlund, Lena Horne etcetc) and with Trumpeter Johan Setterlind, and great jazzguitarplayer Per Sjödin from Malmö. SPIN3 is my organ quartet with Andreas Hellkvist on the B3 and Anders Gustafsson on the drums and the legendary Ulf Andersson on Tenor Sax & Flute .Again another band is J&A JAZZ which is the duo consisting of myself on guitar and Jeanette Gustafsson on vocal we mostly do jazzsstandards..to play on a duo is a real challenge BUT real fun. Jeanette had developed to good swinger with abluesy touch which make sit so nice to play with her.Our first CD was released Oct 11 2008. Havea look at www.myspace.com/jajazzduoIn Nov 2006 I got my new Guitar A HOFNER PRESIDENT of which I am a very proud owner. I had seen guys like Bobby Broom and Peter Leitch using Hofner so that inspired me to check the Hofner out. First time I tried the President was in a guitar shop in Heslinki 2006 and I was completely lost and decided that this is the guitar I need to haveHad a great time in Us in Nov 2007 with Jimmy Ponder in Piitsburgh and with Henry Johnson in Chicago... My Interests

I'd like to meet:

From My friend Carol Albans page I have borrowed the following statement well worth some contemplatingSUCCESTo laugh often and much.to win the respect of intellegent people and the affection of children.to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends,to appreciate beauty, whether by a healthy child,a garden patch,or a redeemed social condition.to know that even one life has breathedeasier because you have lived. This is to have succeded. RALPH WALDO EMERSONIf you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion. ~Dalai LamaAnothr quote borrowed from my fiend great jazzpianist JEFFREY CHIN "Happiness is not a destination..it is a way of life""What do you do for a living? I work" BILL COSBY"Age is not a particularly interesting subject. Anyone can get old. All you have to do is live long enough" GROUCHO MARX"A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on" WINSTON CHURCHILL
