About Me

This solo project was originally called X Zen Tricks (now Zen Tapestry)Formed in Edinburgh 1997.(Jamie is english, but had a few years up there) An album called An Awareness of Time was released on the Music&Elsewhere label in 1998. Some of the tracks were played on minor radio stations in Europe and the US, including an airing on national talk radio in 1999 on the James Whale show. This album has now been remastered and slightly re-jigged and is now called An Awareness in Time with 3 bonus tracks which were not on the original release.This album is now with online retailers including Amazon.com and Itunes amongst others The album would appeal to fans of Craig Armstrong, Kraftwerk, Mike oldfield, Air, Tangerine dream, Jan Hammer, Brian Eno, Vangelis, MarillionFurther background info: Jamie Mezzo-Watt began playing the keyboard in the late 80's and became proficient throughout the 90’s. He is mainly self taught. His direction has completely changed from originally wanting to play in a progressive rock/metal band to playing varied electronic music/soundscapes from classical to club anthems.Please feel free to add comments if you like what you hear but please dont leave any blatent advertisements for your own act. Earlier influences:80's to 2000's pop music Eg Tears for fears, Depeche mode, Blur, Dubstar, simple minds, U2, Oasis - prog/metal/rock like Marillion, It bites, Rush, 70-90's Magnum, Yes, 90's Dream theater, The Police , Queen, 90's Queensyche, Genesis: the swedish band Ritual, Strangeland, Grey lady down(who I jammed with briefly), Big Big Train, Jadis,Galahad, Echolyn, Shadow Gallery, spocks beard.
