About Me

Ron has been a part of the Canadian Music scene as a full time working musician since 1964. He was playing in the Yorkville Village with the Magic Circus and as a drummer with Edward Bear and the Paupers in the 60's, in the early seventies with Tranquillity Base and later on with Buddy And The Boys in Cape Breton Nova Scotia.
Songwriting has always been a part of his contribution to the original music he has performed over the years. In the last fifteen years many of his songs have been recorded and performed on CBC Radio. Ron's unique song writing has produced songs about dogs, people, donkeys and trains as well as some right on political commentaries. Titles like Star Bright And Donkey Brown, Ten Gallon Toque and Will They Let Me Take My Dobro To The War show a person with his eye on what goes on between the lines of peoples lives. These Songs are distributed on tape through his Doggie Bag Music, Tunes To Go.
Ron has been performing with his band The Fabulous Sitting Ducks around Nova Scotia since 1982 . The Train CD "Golden Rocket" is putting him back on the boards and back on track after three years of renewal from a 30 year, been everywhere, musical career. Look out for Heart Shaped Door and Money In The Mail from "Golden Rocket" in your ears.
