Hello, everyone!
My name is Irene Slater. I am first and foremost an actress, relocated from NY and LA and currently residing in NC. I am also executive producer of Phoenix Rising Productions and a screenwriter. I have done work as a UPM, 1st. AD, Production Coordinator, 2nd. AD and Casting director.
I have joined this site to better network with industry people interested in making movies.
Two of the scripts I have written have placed in the semi-finalist and top 100 of the International Screenwriters Screenplay competition and Maverick Blueprint (Madonna's production company) and have been optioned. I have also written, produced, and starred in a short film which won the Cafe Fear Independent Film Festival competition and was directed by One Tree Hill's Craig Sheffer (A River Runs Through It). Mr.Sheffer also starred in the film with me.
I have also taught Film Auditon Technique and been on the Board of Directors of The American Studio of Acting located in Wilmington, NC.
I have connections to a full function film studio located in NC with pre and post production capabilities.
