I’m a bass player and a musician based in London. I’ve been involved with the industry for many years and I’ve started to play music at the age of 10, when I began with classical guitar training. I then moved to the bass guitar at the age of 27...
Here’s a short list of things I’ve been involved with in my career:
• From 1989 to 1991 I was trained at the St Louis Jazz Academy in Rome, studying harmony (under the supervision of Bruno Tommaso), choral singing, jazz musicianship and live workshops. Here I formed myself as an accomplished bass player.
• In 1993 I joined the big Latin ensemble, "Descarga Cubana",, formed of 12 elements and directed by Leonardo Palese, trumpet player and arranger maestro (Wild Rice, Soul Purpose, Synergy, Uptown Entertainment Band and various Latin ensembles, Leonardo’s recording accomplishments include CDs with Frank Raya, Solutions, Sunny Emory and Maurizio Petrelli) who is based in Miami since 1990 and studied under the supervision of Arturo Sandoval.
• In 1995 I joined the original rock band "Sbam" and with it I partecipated to "Sanremo Rock" as well as appearing in several national TV programs, playing along some of the most influential Italian artists such as Max Gazze’ and Daniele Silvestri.
• In 1997 I started my collaboration with Agnese Manganaro (IRMA Records) which took me to a long experience on the road.
• In 1999 I moved to London where I started my long musical experience abroad.
• I’ve played since then in several London venues such as: The Effra Pub, The Bedford, Notting Hill Arts Centre, The Sak Bar Soho, and many others, involved with several jazz, soul, and fusion projects.
• In 2004 I played with singer Heidi Vogel in several venues in London and abroad.
• I’ve been lately involved with a modern jazz combo featuring drummer Laurie Lowe, guitarist Chester Kaman and keyboard player Paolo Losi.
That’s more or less it. At the moment I am also involved with the big music company Pro El and I perform as a session bass player in London and abroad.
