About Me

Since first discovering the overwhelming and transcending power of the Dancefloor, I have found myself on a crusade to voyage into uncharted events and gatherings since my early experience of d.j'ing at high school. Beginning here - executing a full-on tribal style of outdoor trance introduced to me by my father and his keen interest in the 'outdoor scene' (my childhood playground!) as it were - I have since witnessed scenes peak & trough and now remain true to my own sensibilities and belief systems that there is a timeless community that can spontaneously flourish with the refined use and cultivating application of motivated individuals, complementary cultures, musical tapestries and rhythmical patterns. These events have varied illustriously for me since 2005; from Film production wrap parties, celebrity weddings and brand launches through to the serene beaches of India and himalayan ranges of Nepal.Being able to complement any variety of communal celebration with as wide a collection of music as you can imagine has served exclusively to strengthen my ongoing quest to find that certain sound that represents more than the sum of it's parts. Something that of a synergy of variables at any one time. Modern music, social thought, fashion, News, philosophy and environmental contexts all have a relative effect on the sounds and rhythms that vibrant artisan communities find stimulating..Aside from my profession as a D.J, I produce music when the time is right and such factors are condusive to the culmination of a track ready to play. I have collaborated with some very talented producers and learned much from their expertise. Collaboration is essential for constructive reflection and forward motion and will continue to play an important role in my evolution.Music is my life. Every day I am researching the newest sounds and influences on dancefloors both on the underground scene and commercial front - all of equal and relative value to my ambition. I also have a radio show at www.rivergibbsfm.com on sundays at 6pm. Radio is one of my main ambition - tune in, turn on, drop out. I love it.I also have many close relations with the 'live' scene and have some very interesting remixes of reknown bands in the pipeline...Love and dance!

Sounds Like: Definately a distinctive strain of electro-folk. I traverse the sound spectrum with as many varied gigs but produce my own favoured electro-tinged disco progressions.Intelligent but ultimately dancefloor.Lovin D.F.A, Hot Chip, NYPC and Matthew Dear (Audion) at the moment. And needless to say all the Frenchies - Daft, Justice, Braxe, Lifelike etc.Get an idea?Boogaloo!
