Born in 1981, I received my first musical education at the age of 5. After several years playing piano, I started playing saxophone at the age of 12. After school I studied at the Bruckner University in Linz (teachers: Florian Bramböck, Allen Praskin, Harry Sokal) and at the University for Music and performing arts in Vienna (Klaus Dickbauer). I found my love for many different styles of music which came along with jazz-music. So its still difficult for me to make a desicion between jazz and popular music. I'm playing with several Big Bands (Upper Austrian Jazz Orchestra, Robert Bachner Big Band, Nouvelle Cuisine Big Band and from july 07: Lungau Big Band, where I have finally the opportunity to play lead-alto on a very nice program featuring Tony Momrelle from Incognito) Pop/Funk/Soul-Projects (Marcus Reiter feat. Samy Jones, BigTime, C-Soulution) and my own Band, Jazzodrom, which is very important for me. Another important part in my musical activities is playing with several house-DJs, such as Jamie Lewis, Sergio Flores or Timmy Vegas. Now I make up my living with music and try to find other open-minded, creative and motivated musicians to record and perform with.
