Laura May was raised in Singapore and has always been an avid lover of the arts. Her father, who was musically gifted, would always get Laura and her brother to perform at parties. Her dad was an all round entertainer. Charismatic, outgoing, and muscially gifted, her father could play many musical instruments, was a great ballroom dancer and would host many events (christmas parties, weddings, company functions, etc) at the request of many people. The best part of it all, was the fact that her father could play music by ear, so he taught himself to play every musical instrument he ever picked up.That talented gene that her father possessed was passed on to Laura and at a young age, she had the yearning to take her creative spirit to the next level. She didnt just want to perform as a hobby, she made a conscious effort to make it her profession, since she always knew, that she truly was deeply passionate about performing.She headed to college in Michigan, to pursue her Bachelors in Organizational Communication, while still remaining active in theatre productions. No matter what was going on in her life, the one thing that has and will always remain consistent, is her passion for the arts and her desire to make sure her creative juices are always flowing.If she wasn't acting, she was either in acting class, working on her writing, enrolled in a dance or voice training class, learning to pick up a musical instrument or simply just acting out scripts (for loved ones) she had written or created in her head.In 2006, Laura lost her father to brain tumor. While its been hard on her family, she knows she still has to push forward for herself, her family and most of all for her father."I want to take my dad's creative spirit that he passed on to me to the next level. He didnt get the opportunities I've been so priviledge to have been presented with, and its only fair that I allow his spirit to live on through me. I'm sure it would make him proud."Laura currenly resides in Los Angeles, california and is aggresively working hard to take her acting career to the next level.
