Nelly Gabriella

NELLY grew up in Zurich in a musician family with Hungarian origin. Already in her early days she was on stage for the Zurich Operahouse for various productions as solo singer as well as being part of a children’s choir. Later on she changed to a different choir and was part of plays such as Carmen, Aida, Nabucco and Othello.
Nelly started her singing instructions at the music school for Jazz and Popmusic in Zurich in 1996. In 2001 she changed to the Stella Academy in Hamburg where she successfully finished her education in singing, dance and acting.
In 2003 Nelly won the 1st prize in the category singing of the ARD Show «Talents of Germany». A little later she won the Friedrich Schütter award as best upcoming actress for her role «Doris» in «Das kunstseidene Mädchen» by Irmgard Kneus. In 2004 Nelly was engaged as soloist in «Mamma Mia – come together» from the guest performance direction Gerhartz. This successful play was on tour for more than a year in various European cities.
Besides her artistic jobs Nelly was working as presenter and editor with two Swiss radio stations (Radio Z and Radio 105).
Since 2006 Nelly is working at different Schools in the Area of Zurich as Vocalinstructor.
She is also recording Jingles for TV-Commercials. And she is a Part of the Cabaret-Variete-Group "the Velvet Cats".
