ERNIE OROSCO

About Me

With his soaring vocals, clever lyrics and hypnotic sequencing, Ernie’s music is sure to entice many to chill on a rainy day or get up and bring it to the dance floor with style.
Ernie, born in San Diego, has entertained many in a range of venues throughout southern California. Growing up the youngest of four, Ernie was exposed to many different styles of music that influenced his creative pallet and range from early religious folk and hardcore rock to old school soul and bumpin’ funk.
Ernie’s creativity comes from life, imagination, dreams and cinema. Ernie plays an array of instruments, but his main instrument is his voice. The human voice shows great emotion and Ernie is not afraid to explore emotional depths both happy and sad.
Former Bands
The Electric Snakes, The Gift, Euforia and Vox Humana.
As much as Ernie enjoyed being in a band, he did not want to sound like other artists and desired more creative control and so began his solo venture as resulting in the making of the album The Things You Love. Taking center stage at writing, producing, performing almost every instrument and singing all vocals, The Things You Love CD was born showcasing Ernie’s musical and vocal range to a new degree. Ernie’s musical flavors ranged from Techno House, Club, Retro Soul, Rock and 80’s-New Wave Fusing Eastern Spice with stylized precision. For the first time, you heard Ernie’s wide vocal range flying high in Fresh Moon just to bringing it down exploring love loss end lessons learned in the title track The Things You Love.
The Things You Love album captured the attention of independent film producer, Hillarian Banks, who utilized Ernie’s talents in two films, the oddly endearing Extended Family and the eerie thriller short, Puzzled. More collaborative movie projects have been scheduled for the future.
Presently, Ernie is working on a new psycho-hyptronic project with featured artists, Scott Samuels, Jon Rickli, and Matt Meilahn. This collection of music promises to yield future favorites with emotion and creative insight.
