I am here for Friends

About Me

Born in Oxford, raised in Yorkshire (ee bye gum), but fled to Southern England for a couple of college degrees and some artistic enlightenment. I have my Dad's love of books and words, my Mum's musicality, and our Beagles taste for good food (e.g. Pal, Alpo etc). After receiving a taste of the 60s , in Boston in the 70s, I pursued my dream of the great American highway (think Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Jack Keroac etc), and fled England, spending 3 years smoking beer, eating pot, and drinking Gouda cheese in Amsterdam, before making it to San Francisco, CA. Worked my way through many aspects of the emerging IT industry, before following the Sun to Austin, to pursue AI & DB research, fry my meniscus, meet a bootifal Tejana, and settle into a cottage under a spreading oak. Nowadays, I defy my age through Buddhishm, African drumming / dancing, Tai Chi, fiddle, and generally running around having a good time at nobodies expense but my own (I hope).
