About Me

..The C4 Group (Concerned Citizens for Cultural Change) is a diverse group of citizens from around the world working to create cultural change. We support honest, open-minded and respectful dialogue to bring about positive change, grassroots activism to create productive change, and support working together to move the world’s cultures and societies forward through progressive change.
The C4 Group was created as a MySpace group on May 18th 2005. We started out with just a few friends for the first few weeks, but as we added more organizations and resources, more members began to join our effort. We now have over 8,000 members working to create Positive, Productive and Progressive changes in their lives, communities, nations, and the globe.
We are currently focusing on how we can expand our organization as well as working on creating our own website which will be more organized and effective for our members.
In January of 2007 we introduced the "Online Democracy Project" to help transition our organization into a group created by activists for activists. In July of 2007, the members of the C4 Group voted on new rules, a mission statement, and a Vision for our group to continue to build our growing organization. The C4 Group is now a totally member supported organization.
We plan to expand our organization by creating a website to allow for a more organized structure and ease of access to information.
Our own website would allow us to develop an interactive online community, and we could even use technology to bridge the gap of cultures around the globe. This would not just be an organization but instead a dynamic and active movement for cultural change.
We hope to allow members to have their own profile, their own blogs, and to be able to post event listings for specific areas and specific causes. This would give members an opportunity to meet others with simlilar interests in their communities, and work on various projects that would bring about positive cultural change.
We would also like to have member written articles posted on the website, which would inform members of important issues, and find innovative solutions for solving some of the problems that we face in specific communities and larger regions.
We could also hold virtual online meetings and video conferences which would allow for a more interactive community even if individuals are not able to travel to specific locations.
Our long term goal for Concerned Citizens for Cultural Change is to establish non-profit status, and to establish an elected executive board to help manage the day to day operations of the organization.
Establishing non-profit status is an important step in creating an effective organization, however; there are many financial and institutional hurtles to cross to establish non-profit status. Including deciding which specific non-profit status we want to establish.
I cannot do this alone. I will need your help to make this vision a reality.
You can help us reach our goals by becoming a member of Concerned Citizens for Cultural Change , and by continuing to share your ideas and comments on our forum.
If you have experience in website design, website management, have experience starting a non-profit organization or just want to find out how you can help to expand our organization, please contact us via email at:
