Founded in 2007, Wyrm Wood began as combination of black metal, death metal, and industrial metal, but has since evolved to include aspects of goth and atmospheric qualities. Dagon is reputed to have stated on more than one occasion that "rather than follow conventional aspects of song writing, I've taken to creating music that has a soundtrack quality to it. Granted, it's still music you can bang your head to, but I think it has more depth to it." Also important is the visual aspect of the music. "You need to have both a visual and auditory side to a project like this. One should compliment the other. And I've always been a firm believer that at live shows, you need to put on a good show for your fans. Hell, anyone can just pop the record on. Give 'em a reason to come out and see it live." Lyrically, Wyrm Wood gravitates towards the darker fantasy as well as modern heathenism and heathen ethics. Dagon is reportedly looking for a new lable on which he can complete Wyrm Wood's first full length album, In Nomine Wyrmiis.
