CHAPTER I - THE SYNTHESIS
The musical carreer of Beast89 started early 2006,
with a cover of KISS' "God Of Thunder", which has never
been released. After this song 89 started working on
more songs, which were eventually put together in the
album known as "The Synthetic Nature Of Man", which
was unleased in april '07
SNOM was an album that was made completely with
extremely cheap midi synthesizers. The album was devided
in two chapters. The songs of chapter I were all musical
interpretations of nature and the second chapter are
based on a the thoughts of a technophobist/misantropist
that lives in a near future.
After SNOM there was a long pause because of other things
that were going on. The return of B89 came in september
of 2007.
CHAPTER II - DARKNESS ENLIGHTENED
In that month a new song came out of nowhere. "Fashion
Doll", as it was called, was completely different from
everything that could be heard on the first Beast89 album.
This song was a 1.52 minute punk song with a layer of
light synths. After that 89 decided that this was the
direction he wanted to go, so he started to work on more
music.
In January 5 songs were finished and the creator felt it
was time to uneash a demo on the world to show people
the new sound of Beast89. A preview was given by the
myspace piano track "Succubus" followed by a single edit
of "Obey The serpent".
"My Double Middlefinger Facepunch To The World" is an EP
with much variation. The intro, 12 Billion Middlefingers",
is heavy electronic noise which is followed by "Obey The
Serpent", which is heavily influenced by black metal bands
as Satyricon. This heavy song is followed by "Succubus", a
piano funded song which tells the tale of a vampire, torn
apart by his love for a succubus. The madness continues
with a partially rerecorded, heavier version of "Fashion
Doll". The end comes hard with a pounding EBM song called
"Sulfur".
Rave on the Grave!
After the release of "My Double Middlefinger Facepunch To The World" there were plans for some quiet time and letting the music be, but as usual this wasn't going to happen. Right after the release a new idea came, and stayed. Plans were made to make an album that could be used as a soundtrack for a documentary on industrialisation. The idea was that it would be a multimedia project, with music and weird music videos.
The first song was recorded, but it missed something so samples from "The Brain That Woudn't die" were added. This gave the song an even darker atmosphere. This changed the whole project. This album would be influenced by horror music, using samples from different cult horror movies. And so "Cultus Horrificus - Dance of the Dead" was made. In the end it turned out to be a weird album, with only one song that features guitar!
